New Tenants

On the wreath in the front door, a mother bird has built her nest! Tom has evicted her 3 times, she comes back and builds new! Finally she won! A bit over 3 weeks ago she laid 3 little blue eggs!
Monday June 16 the first 2 hatched!
I think the 3rd hatched Tuesday. It is hard to get a good look without giving the mother a stoke!

Musings....

So it has been a month + since posting anything at all! The first part of this I was so tired and spent I was so weak! Then learned the hct was way down again! I am so smart...(?) Leg cramps all night, yellow cast to palms, pale skin, shaking, bruising blah blah. So the Rx Iron and Vit C, mega supplements, rest rest rest has paid off! I am almost all recovered. After a couple weeks of this nonsense, I HAD to start getting stuff done. The yard is so great, and it has been neglected for a couple of summers. So the sprinklers are almost complete in the back, one section to go. There was trim to paint and weeds and thatching the grass with the power rake.
We stripped, sanded and stained the deck. Planted the beds by the downstairs patio, built a lil privacy fence down there, built flower boxes, washed windows, killed wasps and washed siding.
So I would go work, then rest a few, work, rest etc all day and then collapse into bed. I got so tired I did not want to talk. But as all this working strengthens me, I get stronger and stronger.
Two weekends ago (First of June)we went to Denver for a few days. Tom had a lot to do for Landmark Education, (and I helped!). Then he made a choice: he completed and then resigned from The Seminar Leader Program! Of course, he will be involved in Landmark in other ways. He can make a difference in people's lives in many ways. We decided we want our efforts and time spent more with and for our kids! He has not seen much of the kids or grandkids for the last 3 years! Those kids grow too fast! I am surprised by how much he has been around! With his office here now, it is crazy! Last week, and yesterday he worked on the yard! Hooray! Then we went to see Tom/Shari et al for the Father's Day weekend.

This is going to be fun, and I keep being amazed! He will actually get some golf in! The move south is still on, and the house will be up for sale in a week or 2! So get ready to meet my new friend....Tom! And I can get ready to see so much of kids and grandkids they will be so sick and tired of the gramkracker!
Some big changes in store for our lives and I am excited! More to come!

Finally, I was healed enough to go see baby Suzy Grace! I can not believe how she has grown!. She looks like Lori did as a newborn! So the newness has subsided a bit for them, so I got to HOG the baby! I held her and held her, and nobody needed me to share! Lori was surprised how much I wanted to hold her; so heres the deal...I think that new parents and siblings just want to keep looking at their new Baby. I think they should do so to their hearts content! Grandma is just there in the first few weeks to help the mom with the house, other kids, etc, so mom can spend her energy on baby and resting up for the huge job of making milk and all! So I tried to never compete to hold the new baby no matter how much I was dying to memorize everything about the new one! So this was so fun! Hannah and Livie took turns with Suzy when they came in the house, for a minute, and I did give her up so Lori could feed her! But I got to go sit in the shade and watch Lori plant her flowers, or sit in the house and watch her play with her girls, or whatever, while I held Suzy constantly. I was in baby heaven! I think I need to go get another fix! I only spent one night! I thought about how Matt is 2, Sam and Randon are 1, and all the kids are kids now! This baby will not be baby for long either! The older kids are a riot; it is so delightful to watch them grow! They always keep me laughing, and they are so wonderful! I always said the older my kids got the better they got, and I did not want them to grow past whatever current stage of development they were in at any given time; however, a new born is such a miracle, and a wonder! Nothing feels, sounds, looks, smells or sleeps like a tiny new baby! I thought about my own babies, and the birth of each grandbaby! I remembered wondering how anyone could love anything or anyone like I did Lori, and then I held Mandy! It was if the love and devotion exploded exponentially! Then Scott came along, and I was amazed that it could increase x 10 to the nth power! I remember being so blown away by Kaytlyn (the first grandbaby) that again I could not imagine there being any love left for any new kids! I am serious, I was scared that I would have a favorite, and any others would know they were not as favored. I found that quite unacceptable and unbearable! Then I discovered this exponential increase in love is without bounds! So with all this remembering, I then thought about my own grandpa, my very bestest friend. Whoa, did he love me! As child I knew he loved me so much, that I thought the other grandkids were just not so loved. Now it is so amazing to know that loving one kid more than another is not even remotely possible! With each new person in my life there is just more love for all of them rather than just so much to divide between them. Well, inevitably I thought of the Love of Heavenly Father. Though I have more appreciation for what that much love is like, it is still so incomprehensible! For this reminder I am most grateful, as I am so grateful for every new child that has joined our circle! This really is the good stuff! Now I wish I had every single one of our kids and grandkids close enough to see, hear and touch every day! I know they do not know how cherished, and adored; how very precious they are, cause so much time goes by without showing them (just one day is SO much time)!
Well, I shall go have a good cry, and come back and post some thing entertaining! Thank you for indulging me!

The Birthday Party!

We celebrated Sam and Randon's First Birthdays together. Presents, candles and cake are fun, but the playing in the cake and ice cream is priceless! It was so fun! Thanks to their mom's and dad's for including us in this madness! Here is a video we took of the party! Real star material here!

Isn't She Lovely...

We had such fun! And then I felt I should try out being really sick; not as in twisted, but in bed sleeping sick! It hit me at Lor's house, and I had to go home! I missed out on Suzy Grace's arrival. I am feeling much better today, but still so weak and shaky it is nuts!

But Welcome to Suzy Grace! Born April 24, 2008

Mama, Dad, Big sisters and baby doing very well!

Livvie thinks she would like a diet coke! hmmm? maybe....
