We have had so much fun this week! Tom had to go to SLC 3 days in a row, then he moved a couple tons of rocks and worked on the rock wall! Saturday evening Joe, Ashley, Elizabeth and Natalie came to visit before departing on their summer adventures. Detroit may have been changed to Virginia Beach1 That is a great change to me! Maybe we could go out and see them and I could show Tom my old stomping grounds! The little girls are so wonderful; Natalie walks and talks! She is like a tiny doll, then she speaks in this clear sweet little voice! She entertained my Relief Society Sunday! She would want something, and we would get it for her, and in this little bell voice she'd say "Thank you"! The women went nuts! So she kept talking! It was so much more fun than a lesson! Elizabeth is such a sweetheart. She talks and talks. Her vocabulary is amazing and her voice so sweet. She is one of the most well mannered lil girls ever! Richard came over 2 days in a row to see Joe! Chris and Regina brought Sam and James to play! James and Elizabeth played together so well. They were so happy together. They even got married. Not by a legal authority, fortunately! Sam is also walking, a real toddle walk! He is a big solid boy, with chunky little feet! He loves ice cream and basketball!
These kids were just a treat! Oh, yeah, it was really nice to have Joe and Ashley too! Joe can sing anything for any occasion; and usually does! I forgot how much I liked that! Evidently, Lizzie likes it too!
We played this hilarious game Sunday evening! It was so funny we did not want to stop! I will post some pictures of the results....but it must be experienced to really get how crazy fun it is! You start by writing a catchy, well known phrase, like a lyric, a saying, jingle etc. The next person illustrates that phrase. It is passed along to the next person who then writes what they think the drawing is illustrating, without seeing any other papers. Everyone takes a turn with each phrase as it progresses (or digresses) around! SO everyone playing is busy working away. Then everyone shares! It was hilarious!

Moving Update

We have lift off!!....The plan is in execution! This weekend Tom loaded and unloaded 3 1/2 tons of rock and began placing the wall in the back! It is much smaller than the other wall! Maybe 50 feet long and 18 inches high. See the rocks?
It builds up a planting bed that helps maintain the back fence, the east end of the back yard. Looking good!

The big wall, before grass And trees added!

New Deck!
Lorna started the clean out, trash, sort...then things stalled a bit due to the inevitable fundamental lack of agreement regarding what does constitute trash! I think it's easy, you have not used it in 2 yrs ? Probably trash! Haven't opened a box in 2 yrs? Trash! Is it in the garage? It just might be trash! Tom has some priceless treasures buried in boxes he has not opened in 8 years (or longer). He is sure there is treasure in those boxes! So, the way we approach this is radically different, but the end goal is the same... sell this house and move into a smaller home in SLC area! So whatever it takes! Next on the agenda: list tasks to be completed before the move, then complete the tasks! I will not give up on the trashing part of this!
Good news! I got the Taxes finished and filed yesterday! Hooray for me! That is a job I generally dislike, just cause I hate giving the IRS more money! But it is always some kind of relief to be complete each year, even if I can not afford to celebrate the occasion!

Mandy and Katy will be here this weekend to play! YAY! Fly in Saturday morning (in their jammies...they leave Las Vegas at 6 am) fly back Sunday night! What fun shall we have for them? Mail or call with any and all ideas! We are planning Saturday in SLC. Mandy has plans Sat night; the tentative plan is to then go up to our house for Sunday. Everybody is welcome ya know!

I beleieve there is another bird nest being contructed near the front door. This year I will be very cautious to not disrupt it! Last year it was IN the wreath!! I cleaned the wreath to decorate it for spring and summer, and wrecked the nest and broke the eggs in it! I was mortified! I can not find the nest yet, but there is a lot of bird activity and noise going on around the front porch! I am keeping a weather eye for the bird nest! I thought that since there is no kitty cat here this spring they might be bolder in the nesting!

We Thank Thee ,O God, For a Prophet

We did indeed witness the mantle of authority rest on Thomas S. Monson during conference this weekend. He is The prophet of The Lord; Seer and Revelator of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Wow! We are so lucky to know that!
He always makes me laugh, too! His sense of humor is so cute! Cute, is that a word one can use to describe The Prophet? Well, he has a razor sharp wit that I enjoy!
