Tag! You're IT!

I also was tagged by 3 different questionnaires! They have some of the same questions; so I combined them. This will just keep getting longer and longer!! Tom is going to answer also!!!

1. What were you doing 5 years ago?

March 2003..... I was working in gynocology, and looking for any another practice to work in. oh well. Lori was about to have Olivia! She was 'great' with child and had just had 4D Ultrasound done by a friend of mine with Olivia's first portrait (in utero); Hannah was 3! Mandy and Katy were living in Layton and used to come up and spend lots of time with us! Scott and Kennedy lived in that neat old house in SLC! Chris was dating Regina! We had family pictures done, so so cute; we had asked Chris if we should include Gina in the pictures, or some of the pictures! Two weeks later...engaged! (We still need some more pictures you guys!) Our little family has almost doubled in 5 years.
THEN: Kids and kid in laws: 10; Grandkids:7, 1 boy and 6 girls. So there were 19 of us! We have been so blessed to add 4 daughter in laws, 1 son in law, and 7 more kidlets (4 of them boys!)

NOW: In May it will be 15 kidlets, 5 boys and 10 girls!! That makes 32 of us for heavens sake!!Whew! I have not heard of any new announcements after Lori's baby comes in May.......anyone? Richard was a junior in high school; Chris,Jon,Joe were at USU and living with us, Tommy and Shari in Wa in the navy! Tom said "What was I doing? Same same, huh?" Not same same, he was busy with his practice, but Landmark had not entered the picture yet! He did still travel a bunch, but now those hearings he does can be telecommuted ...via phone and internet rather than in person! Much more high tech! This was pre iPod days as well! 11. Your Dream Vacations
L: 1) A Christmas in an isolated cabin, high up and deep in. The cabin is large with huge stone fireplaces, 4 cords of wood stacked in a shelter, and big down beds and lots of great animal fir throws. We'd cook and bake everything for Christmas in the enormous kitchen, from the wonderfully stocked pantry. We'd snowshoe out and cut a great big fir tree, drag it in, and make ornaments. We'd have music, but no TV. We'd have Wii, but no playstations! Of course there is a hot tub right outside on the deck! We could cross country ski, build snow forts, tubing, ice fish on the lake. We would be there for a few days before Christmas, our kids would come up by Christmas Eve, and stay a few more days
2) Tahiti, and South Seas

Tom: Tahiti, Tahiti, Tahiti
Golf Pebble Beach and Spyglass

12. What would you do with 10 Billion Dollars?

L: Taxes and Tithing, pay all debts! Meet with a genius financial analyst and set up a plan for self perpetuation of wealth. Build a home somewhere south of here on a few acres for some animals, garden, and caretaker; with a library of my own filled with wonderful books for kids of all ages; We would build homes nearby for any of our kids that want to be there and participate with garden and animals; build an air strip, and buy a small jet. Think of the small farm in Conn. that Martha Stewart just sold! Set up a Non profit Foundation to Feed, and Educate and provide Immunizations, this would be a Foundation that raises funds for these projects. Set up a All Moms at Home Business to keep the girls all home with their kids! We would design and produce children's stuff....games, furniture, music, toys, clothes, bedding, develop nourishing packaged foods for kids that travel easily.....whatever we decide to produce! Set up a Family Trust Fund with diverse investments; for missions, college (to fund student loans), reunions etc . Develop the software for a cooking, shopping, storing and tracking foods and recipes in a website, that includes UPC scanner and mass calculations for freeze ahead....and tracking all storage items shelf lives! Test the recipes in a test kitchen and market the thing! Publish Children's books; for children but also BY children! Publish a Parenting DVD and website with some great parenting theories and programs!

Tom: Well Just see the above cause now I am done! I will just go to work I guess!

Trip to Denver and other Adventures

On Thursday Tom noted he was not prepared to deliver his mock as designed, so he decided to reschedule his mock!! So we changed the air tickets. Tom arrived in Denver, had an amazing meeting with city coach and the center manager. Then in the morning they decided to do the mock that evening! Tom called me and asked me to get on a plane and be there!!! I zoomed to the airport, flew to Denver in time. He had zero preparation time, the mock was very awesome! He missed an important piece of the session, regarding the promises of the seminar. OOPS! He was so amazing, but will deliver another mock! He did figure out that he is "The Lone Ranger", he does things his way, mostly by himself. For understanding the importance of Team and partnership, he does not put anyone on his team! Kind of complicates things if you are being the Quarterback, Receiver, and linemen..... if you get my drift! So we all had a great time in Denver, went out to eat, stayed in the hotel sharing our room with Larry (who snores like a diesel train with bad bearings!translation: sleepless night) then flew straight back to SLC! We drove home in a horrendous snowstorm, in 4 wheel drive much of the way. We were going to be late for Sacrament Meeting, so we went straight to church. Tom was dressed less than appropriately (sandals, cargo pants, flannel shirt) so we sat in the foyer! Seemed to work, but I know his boys would love to hear that he attended church in his 'play clothes'! Imagine that ever happening! Tom left after church for Twin Falls for Hearings, I left for SLC to help Lori with her girls while Dustin is at a YTB Convention. There was NO NADA NONE ZIP snow on the roads! It was quite mysterious, but the roads were just damp!
This coming weekend is Hallie's baptism, in Ephraim, so we are excited to go there and see all the kids!
We love to drive! We must, we do SO SO much of it, too bad we are not Exxon!

REVENGE is SWEET....

TOM SAYS: Go Cougars! Enjoyable to witness the scourging of UNLV by BYU!
Well, witnessed via the magic of TV!

The Old people try to BLOG?

So we are going to try the Blogging..... I hear you Laughing Loudly!
The plan is to add info every week to keep ya' all posted as to the events of our lives. You already know and experience how busy busy busy we all are, why does it seem like Tom is busier yet? Is it because he LOOKS busy; always talking to his handsfree phone? (hum opening bars of Imaginary Lover?)
Valentine's Day was lovely (!?) ....75 inches of snow and 250 mph winds at our house the night before. NO REALLY! Tom was out driving in it... We have taken a stand to oppose the blatant pagen commercialism of the holiday (meaning, yup, you guessed it, no roses this year! He will survive!)
So Let's just start with the right now....he is on the phone and computer, oh you knew that...... Church was interesting, two high council speakers for the price of one.
We had hoped to see Katy before she returned to Vegas to her mama. She has up here been visiting her daddy and other grama, and today was the only day they could squeeze out some time for us....but alas her dad kept her. Good for Jason, bad for us! In an effort to relieve our deep disappointment, Scott and Cole and KK discussed coming to play with us. In the end they stood us up too! Too much driving and they have a friend arriving from out of state tonight. (I have to wonder when pilot boy will fly up here and stop the driving nonsense?)
HOORAY for Tom, Hooray for Landmark!
This week Tom is going to go to Denver to present his 'Mock' to be candidated as Landmark Seminar Leader. After several months of vigorous preparing ( and rigorous). This is it guys! Really! We go Fri Feb 22 am, returning Sun early in the am. Then zoom home, church, and Tom goes to Twin to do Hearings. This at the end of a full week, including apprenticing The Commitment Seminar! That is on Wednesday evenings in SLC! Then.....
The plan for the next weekend is to finish framing Lor's basement. Let's really make that happen, cause that new baby is coming very soon (on "Me first" Olivia says). That seems like a good long while unless you need your basement finished for the older girls bedrooms, family room, and bathroom so baby can have her room. Completing a pregnancy is a complex thing, baby is either almost here, or never coming, yes moms? Anyway, anybody want to play bob the builder with Tom?
March 1 is Hallie baptism, so off to Ephraim. Then Mar 14th is Olivia's Birthday (she's pi! get it.....3.14) Dustin and Hannah are going on a cruise that day. We were going to go as well, but it is looking like we will not get to have that trip. 3 day cruise to Baja with 3 other couples, Hannah and Dustin. The cruise lines will not let women in their third trimester cruise, so Hannah gets a great date with Dad! Still trying to get that arranged though!
