Trip to Denver and other Adventures

On Thursday Tom noted he was not prepared to deliver his mock as designed, so he decided to reschedule his mock!! So we changed the air tickets. Tom arrived in Denver, had an amazing meeting with city coach and the center manager. Then in the morning they decided to do the mock that evening! Tom called me and asked me to get on a plane and be there!!! I zoomed to the airport, flew to Denver in time. He had zero preparation time, the mock was very awesome! He missed an important piece of the session, regarding the promises of the seminar. OOPS! He was so amazing, but will deliver another mock! He did figure out that he is "The Lone Ranger", he does things his way, mostly by himself. For understanding the importance of Team and partnership, he does not put anyone on his team! Kind of complicates things if you are being the Quarterback, Receiver, and linemen..... if you get my drift! So we all had a great time in Denver, went out to eat, stayed in the hotel sharing our room with Larry (who snores like a diesel train with bad bearings!translation: sleepless night) then flew straight back to SLC! We drove home in a horrendous snowstorm, in 4 wheel drive much of the way. We were going to be late for Sacrament Meeting, so we went straight to church. Tom was dressed less than appropriately (sandals, cargo pants, flannel shirt) so we sat in the foyer! Seemed to work, but I know his boys would love to hear that he attended church in his 'play clothes'! Imagine that ever happening! Tom left after church for Twin Falls for Hearings, I left for SLC to help Lori with her girls while Dustin is at a YTB Convention. There was NO NADA NONE ZIP snow on the roads! It was quite mysterious, but the roads were just damp!
This coming weekend is Hallie's baptism, in Ephraim, so we are excited to go there and see all the kids!
We love to drive! We must, we do SO SO much of it, too bad we are not Exxon!
